H E L L O !
If you don't already know, my name is Lindsey Windett and I am a natural-light Virginia photographer who specializes both in stylized and lifestyle portraiture. My experience in photography is wide-ranging and there's not much that I won't take a picture of. As cheesy and cliched as it might sound, the amount of beauty in the world can be utterly overwhelming and I feel compelled to savor it. I really started getting into photography when I was 18, working with local models for trade with an unassuming Kodak point and shoot as my way of baby-stepping into the digital age. I've come a long way since then, but I will always appreciate those confused formative years as they sowed the seed of a beautiful, life-long love affair. Now, there's no way I would consider anything else.
Most of the work I do comes from a very personal place as I try my best to share my appreciation and encompassing love for the beautiful things this world - and the people in it - have to offer.
I usually spend my free time harassing my pets (two cats, a dog and a snake), and generally embarrassing myself. But otherwise, I work a day job at an animal hospital, I enjoy traveling and am always dying to see new places. I read books like it’s going out of style. I’m horrible at cooking. I secretly love trendy coffee shops. I love stationary and receiving letters in the mail. I mess around with instruments more than I really play them and I will experiment with any art medium I can get my hands on… oftentimes with questionable results.
I've recently relocated to New Kent county, but I often travel to Richmond and many surrounding areas. So, don't hesitate to reach out and say hello!
I'd love to meet you!
